Well I have to say that I'm not super impressed with this weeks deals. I've seen much much better deals recently, so I guess I've gotten kinda spoiled. No worries though, like hopefully most of you, I have a stock of meat in the freezer from previous deals that we'll have no problem living off of. In fact, it's time to start really using up this stuff so I can make room for future deals!
Stater Brothers has some ok deals on London Broil and Chuck Steak, not really very freezer worthy, but a good deal nonetheless. However, their chicken Leg Quarters are a great deal and dare I say maybe even freezer worthy if your family will eat these up. Their pork is a pretty darn decent price too. Now it may be worth it to go to Staters if not for anything else but for their Broccoli and Green Cabbage prices. It looks like our family will be good with the coniferous veggies this week. They also have some of my families favorite cereals for a GREAT price...$1.49 each! You must buy 4 in a single transaction, and you have to use the in ad coupon. No worries if you already threw your ads away, simply pick one up as you walk in the store!
Vons has a few decent prices this week. Nothing to get too excited over like their ground beef last week, but pretty decent anyway. If you like pork then you'll find a couple of good deals. But their potatoes are a must grab if you'll be there Sat or Sun. However please note that the price of potatoes are a better deal at Ralphs this week, but if you don't make it to Ralphs this is the next best thing. You'll also want to grab some cereal and Doritos while you're there!
About the only thing that Ralphs has going for them this week are their 10 pound bags of Russet potatoes. It's not really worth running to that store however if it's just for the potatoes. You might as well grab them from Vons if you'll already be there during the weekend.
Albertsons really has the only freezer stocking worthy deal this week in my opinion. They have their whole chickens on sale for $.69 cents/pound and thats a great price for those of you who need to stock their freezer with these. Click HERE for some recipes if you don't know what to do with these little gems. They also have some great cereal deals going on this week too!
Food 4 Less always has the some of the best prices. You simply have to check out the ad to see what I mean. Hello 20 cents a pound oranges!!
Of course there is always my little gem Henry's! They have locally grown produce so it's usually cheaper and fresher. And for those of you that don't already know, if you shop there on Wednesdays you'll find the most deals. It's a double ads day. You'll be able to get the sale prices from last week as well as this coming weeks. If the same item was on sale last week as well as this week, you'll get the better price. If you want to know if there is a Henry's near you click HERE. This week I'm happy to see that they have Natural Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts on sale for $1.77/pound. This is the same price that Sam's club sells their Members Mark brand boneless skinless chicken breast for, but since I'm already going to be at Henry's, I'm going to grab the all natural ones there rather than Sams. I think that the "natural" part means that they are hormone free, so that makes me happy.
So what do you all think of these weeks prices? Have you been saving money, if so how much? Please feel free to comment and let us all know.
