Summing Up This Weeks Deals!

We have some pretty decent deals this week!  With St. Patty's day coming up most stores have the corned beef and cabbage sales going on like crazy!  You really can't go wrong buying either of those two items from any major store this week, however, I only post the store(s) with the best price.  A couple of the stores share the title of best price on a few items so I left them up for each store.  Ok, let's sum up the deals!

Stater Brothers as usual takes the lead with their price on ground beef.  It may not be the most lean, but these days a lot of us don't have the luxury for the leanest meat and are thrilled with finding better prices like this.  Their pricing on the beef back ribs have me drooling for a bbq!  That's a good stocking the freezer type price right there.  Now their boneless, skinless, chicken is a good price for those of you who don't do bulk shopping at warehouse clubs (same price at Vons & Albertsons this week too).  I usually buy my chicken for $1.77/pound at Sam's Club, but this is a really good grocery store price.  The Foster Farms Leg Quarters and whole chickens are a good deal as well, especially the leg quarters.  I've seen better prices on the whole chickens, but this is still a good price.  It wasn't until I needed to save big money on groceries that I ever bought a whole chicken.  Previously it was always boneless, skinless, chicken breast in my house.  Once I discovered these little gems however I saved a bundle.  Don't know what to do with a whole chicken?  Surprisingly there are lots of things!  Click HERE for some of my favorite recipes! Their pork shoulder is a great price too, as well as their carrots and their 5lb bag of taters for only $.99!!  Stater Brothers remain the top place to shop this week for me.  If there is only one store that you can go to, it should be here.  Not only do they have great sale prices, but their everyday prices are lower in general too.

Vons doesn't really impress me this week.  They don't really have any freezer stocking worthy things.  Their corned beef is a great deal, however there is a limit of 2, so you really can't stock your freezer.  Albertsons actually have the same corned beef on sale for the same price with no limits so I'd go there for it if I wanted to stock my freezer.  Vons has the chicken for the same price as Stater Bros., so you might as well go to Stater Bros. for that if there is nothing else at Vons you're getting.  However, there are some items to make a trip to Vons for.  Be sure to get some of that super cheap cabbage, asparagus, apples, and red potatoes while you're there.  Their cereals and granola bar prices are not to be missed either as well as that great deal on apple juice!  So if you will be going here for those items and won't be going to Stater Bros. be sure to grab some chicken here if you don't get it from a warehouse store.

Ralphs is ok this week.  They have some freezer stocking worthy bone-in chicken deals, GREAT deal on the jumbo size shrimp, really good price on the family size cereals, and really good price on the Fritos/Cheetos.  When we get these on sale, we like to use the Fritos for Frito Bandito on our family nights (junk food Friday or Saturday night).  You'll have to decide if it's worth a trip there this week or not.

Albertsons is the place to stock up on your corned beef brisket if you are a fan of it.  It's the same price as Von's, however there doesn't appear to be a limit on how many you can buy.  Their boneless, skinless, chicken is the same price as Staters and Vons, so you can pick which store you want to pick this up from.  Their pork chops are a decent price too.  You might want to check out their Kellogg's and Keebler deal going on too!

Food 4 Less has some amazing deals on produce and meat, I must say.  They are putting even Henry's to shame on some of their sale prices.  Wow seriously, if you have one of these near you, be sure to give them a chance.  Great prices!

Henry's always has some really great produce deals.  I'm so glad I have one of these near me.  This is typically where I go to stock up on produce.  They bring in produce from locally grown farms so it's fresher!  Sometimes they have really great deals on all natural meats as well.  For example this week they have boneless skinless chicken breasts on sale for $1.77/pound (Fri, Sat, Sun ONLY), which puts the other stores to shame on their $1.97 this week.  I usually buy my boneless skinless chicken breast at Sams Club, but since these are all natural, and since I'll be there for produce anyway, I'll be getting it from Henry's this week.  Their all natural bone-in drumsticks and thighs are a great price too!  I'll also be getting some of those jumbo shrimps too for that amazing price!!  If you would like to see if you have a Henry's near by you click HERE.
